Signing Links
One link, unlimited signers
A signing link is a public web address built from a template. Anyone who opens it enters their name and email and signs their own copy, with no account and no individual invitation needed. Great for waivers, registration forms and standard agreements.
What a signing link is
- Every person who uses the link gets a new, separate document created from the template.
- Each submission appears in your Documents list (marked via signing link) and on the link's details page.
- Signers don't verify their email address, so treat the link as public. Use individual sending for sensitive documents.
Creating a signing link
You need at least one active template.
- Go to Documents and open the Signing Links tab.
- Click Create Signing Link.
- Choose the Template.
- Enter a Title (shown to signers) and an optional Description.
- Optionally set a Notification Email to be told each time someone signs (defaults to your email).
- Turn on Allow Attachments if signers should upload files, and choose whether to share with your team.
- Save. The link is active straight away.
Tracking submissions
- The Signing Links tab shows totals for links, active links, submissions and views.
- Each link's details page shows Views, Started and Completed counts.
- The Submissions table lists every document created from the link, with the signer, status and date. Search by name, email or title, and Download or Delete each one.
Editing, pausing & deleting
- Edit: change the template, title, description, notification email or attachment setting. Changes apply to future submissions only.
- Active / Inactive: switch a link off temporarily. Visitors to an inactive link see a “Link Unavailable” page.
- Delete Permanently (in the Danger Zone): the URL stops working immediately. Documents already signed are kept.
Important
If you deactivate or delete the template a link uses, the link stops working. Edit the link to choose another active template.
